Vrel, I suddenly got curious — why does Avery have a sex dungeon at home? They don’t really seem like the kind of person who enjoys sadism that much, especially since they don’t respect the rules of sexual play at all (there’s no safeword). And when they whip the PC, they don’t look pleased — it feels more like they’re trying to prove a point or fighting against something.

That's an interesting observation. Perhaps they do have something to prove. Or feel like they do.

This is so mysterious—can you give me a hint?

I'll need to think about how to describe it, I fear, or if I should at all.

Alright, then I can only lean toward interpreting it as them struggling against a massive patriarchal trauma — but that still doesn’t explain why it’s a sex dungeon. Is it because it’s secluded enough, and carries a certain kind of status?

That's part of it. There's also a sort of rebelliousness to it. It amuses them to think of it throughout the day.

I’m starting to feel more and more that there’s a part of Avery that’s still like an adolescent who never really grew up!

It's not a side they reveal to the world at large.

After Avery’s ascension, do they still go to work as usual and keep their +rage and +dominance traits? Highly dominant Avery feels rather unpleasant… or is that simply the necessary price to pay for not having to pay Bailey’s rent?

There's no need to apologise!

They go to work as usual and keep their traits, aye.

I fear high dominance Avery is just the price to pay. That said, if they're truly unpleasant, perhaps I missed the mark and should adjust things.

Depends on what you mean by unpleasant.

If I didn’t misread the code, they actually make the PC go out completely naked and even demand that the PC kneel for them — Avery even steps on the PC’s head. After the ascension ritual, though, I noticed a variable that turned into romantic (I can’t quite remember which one, but it was related to Auriga). So if their relationship becomes romantic, would Avery still do things like stepping on the PC’s head or making them kneel?

They would.

Though their demand that the PC kneel might be a little too far. I'm considering replacing it.

Just thinking about how they’ve already ascended, become more powerful, and yet still have to show up at work and snap at their subordinates—it gives me this overwhelming wave of nihilism.

Ideally they'd have replacement events at work after the ascension. Their job changes quite a bit, not to mention the new location.
